Preorder & Backorder

Backorder is when an item is temporarily out of stock in our warehouse and is possible to get stock from supplier.

Preorder is for products which has not been released to the market and will be shipped later.

TechBug will ship your item(s) as soon as we receive them in our warehouse. Please keep in mind that the arrival date is an estimated time frame and subject to change. The usual timeline is 10 to 14 business days subject to confirmation.

We cannot guarantee that a backorder will be filled. If the backordered item is no longer available, we will cancel the item from your order and notify you via e-mail.

You will be notified if the item is on backorder when you view your cart.

Deposit Order

Deposit order may be available for certain products especially on preorder. This method is available for Malaysian based customers ONLY.

This method works by paying the deposit amount specified by the website (usually 50% of the price) first.

Balance payment to be settled when TechBug invoice the remaining balance usually when stock arrives in TechBug warehouse.

It may take extra 1 to 2 business day(s) to notify once stock arrives, so customers who chooses express shipping or wants their order to be shipped quicker, are adviced to pay order in full.

PAYMENT

I am based in Malaysia, what are the payment methods accepted
  1. Online Payment via Billplz
    • It is now even easier to make payment! We support online payment via FPX which means you can use Internet banking of any FPX supported banks! What more it is free!
  2. M2U Pay
    • If you are a Maybank2U user, just choose M2U Pay option and you will be spared a lot of hassle!
  3. Credit or Debit card
    • Visa or MasterCard is accepted.
    • Small fee will be charged.
  4. PayPal
    • Verified PayPal account is required.
    • Small fee will be charged.
  5. Online banking | ATM transfer | Cash Deposit
    • You can do online banking for Maybank, CIMB, RHB, Bank Islam, Citibank or HSBC. Bank details will be emailed to you once order is submitted. Contact us before opting for this payment method

TechBug has the right to NOT honour any orders if there is any suspicion of fraud.

I am not from Malaysia, can I still order from TechBug? How do I pay?

Yes, we accept orders from overseas!

  1. Credit or Debit card
    • Visa or MasterCard is accepted.
    • Billing and shipping address must be the same. If you need to ship to a different address, please email us beforehand.
    • Small fee will be charged. It will be shown BEFORE you subit payment.
  2. PayPal
    • Verified PayPal account is required.
    • Small fee will be charged. It will be shown BEFORE you subit payment.

Will there be any fees charged if I pay using credit/debit card or PayPal?

Yes there will be a small fee charged as below:

  • Credit/Debit card – 2.65%
  • PayPal – 4.4% + MYR 2

The calculation method used is to include % in total amount.

eg. If you purchase an item worth RM100 and pay using credit card, the total (excluding shipping fee if any) is calculated this way – [order total]/0.9735 = 100/0.9735

Similarly for PayPal, the total (excluding shipping fee if any) will be 100/.956 + 2

Do you offer installment/easy payment plans?

We DO NOT offer any installment or easy payment plans for now.

SHIPPING

How does the FREE shipping work?

FREE shipping will be valid for the conditions below –

  • orders are shipped to a valid address in Malaysia.
  • order total is RM200 and above after discount.
  • only Standard shipping options is valid for FREE which means order will be delivered in 5 to 7 days.
  • FREE shipping to Sabah, Sarawak & Labuan will be via FlexiPack or whichever service we deem suitable.
  • FREE shipping is valid for non-bulky items and with less than 1 kg of weight.
What is FlexiPack Domestic?

FlexiPack Domestic is a service by Pos Malaysia which offers low cost shipping to anywhere in Malaysia. For further information click on this link.

What are the shipping options?

We have 2 options for shipping.

a. Standard shipping – ships in 2 to 3 business days. Once item is in stock, we will ship the order after 2 to 3 business day. Shipping to Sabah/ Sarawak/ Labuan will be done via FlexiPack Domestic for this option.

b. Express shipping – ships next business day or earlier. For orders submitted by 12pm, we strive to ship the same business day. For pre order/backorder items, once item is in stock we will ship the order latest by the next business day. Usually we ship the same business day when possible.

Will I get the order delivered in 2 to 3 days if I choose standard shipping?

Do bear in mind the difference between shipping and delivery.

Shipping means to pack the products in the order and pass it to the courier agent.

Delivery happens when courier agent passes the package to you.

If you need the item quickly do opt forExpress shipping.

Who are your local shipping partner(s)?
  • For Standard shipping in Peninsula Malaysia, we use Skynet or PosLaju while for Sabah, Sarawak & Labuan we will use Pos Malaysia’s FlexiPack Domestic service where suitable.
  • For Express shipping in Malaysia, we use SkyNet or PosLaju for Peninsula Malaysia and PosLaju service for Sabah, Sarawak & Labuan. If for any reason SkyNet/PosLaju service is not available, we will select another service without prior consent.
Do you ship overseas?

Yes we ship worldwide

Who are your overseas shipping partner(s)?
  • For express shipping you have the option of DHL or FedEx where applicable.
  • For normal shipping, local mail will be used with track and trace option.

You will be given the prices once full address is entered. You can choose whichever service you are comfortable with.
